DVD 2026: UK Connect Defence launched to accelerate field-ready connectivity

UK Connect Defence launched on 14 September and will be discussing its innovative approach to field-ready connectivity capability at DVD 2026 at Millbrook on 16-17 September.

UK Connect has 13 years’ experience in designing, integrating, deploying and supporting resilient communications and connectivity solutions across demanding remote environments for the UK construction industry and other critical infrastructure agencies. The launch of a defence-facing business will deliver deployable, supportable and trusted connectivity solutions to meet operational requirements, at pace. The business adopts a deliberately outcome-led approach. Combining the integration of appropriate commercial, proprietary and specialist technologies with in-house developed and manufactured specialist products, the new business will deliver the required capability to meet the needs of the military, or other agencies, operating in austere environments globally.

In recent years, UK Connect has been increasingly involved in the successful delivery of a number of fast-paced connectivity solutions to meet defence sector requirements that some traditional providers were less able to meet.  Spearheaded by P J Farr, a forces veteran and original business founder, the company’s roots combine a passion to support the military with clear demand signals leading to the establishment of a sector-specific business and brand.

We’re building on thirteen years of proven and trusted connectivity solutions provision to over 3,000 locations, all being proactively monitored 24/7 to ensure operational continuity.  The launch of UK Connect Defence consolidates and builds on the work we have already begun with defence sector customers, creating a dedicated team to better meet their unique demands,” Farr explained.
