Allen-Vanguard and Hyperion Defence Solutions will showcase a novel approach to Joint Fires training and simulation at CANSEC in Ottawa, 27-27 May.
The approach focuses on configurable, accreditable systems tailored to meet the specific operational, facility, battlespace and training requirements of the end user, according to a 22 May release from Allen-Vanguard. The company has decades-long experience in developing advanced, trusted RF solutions for EW, counter-IED and counter-UAS missions. Hyperion has a remarkable depth of experience in Joint Fires support and training, having established and delivered contemporary training solutions for multiple defence customers. Together, the companies combine Canadian defence presence, Joint Fires domain expertise, experience in simulation integration and a full waterfront of mature training technologies.
Solutions range from fixed projected facilities to deployable mobile systems and mixed-reality training options. The design supports realistic, networked Joint Fires training, including individual and collective proficiency development, scenario-based training, sensor-to-shooter workflows, target correlation, fires coordination and integration with wider digital Joint Fires environments. The solution architecture is configurable around end-user requirements, including facility constraints, existing systems, accreditation pathways, operational workflows and future upgrade requirements. This scalability spans classroom and mission rehearsal systems to higher-fidelity projected or mixed-reality environments.
The highlighted capability, which Allen-Vanguard will be discussing on booth 800 in Ottawa, is a bespoke digital joint fires, fully immersive, mixed reality training environment to efficiently and effectively deliver complex Joint Fires training. Rather than a single off-the-shelf capability, the companies will be discussing capabilities, presence and experience – food for thought for more than one visitor, it would seem!
“Combining Allen-Vanguard’s Canadian defence presence and systems integration experience with Hyperion’s Joint Fires training and simulation expertise ensures that this partnership can support Canada’s next phase of Joint Fires modernisation with a practical, scalable, accreditable and affordable training solutions,” commented Bobby Strawbridge, Allen-Vanguard President.
