ADEX 2025: Schiebel and Hanwha showcase Camcopter S-300

As befits the launch customer nation, Schiebel’s Camcopter S-300 – a larger, more capable version of the company’s renowned S-100 – was on prominent display at ADEX 2025 in Seoul.

First alluded to in public at Euronaval 2022, the principal difference between the two marques is that the S-300, with a max take-off weight of 660kg, has a max payload capacity of 340kg: endurance is up to 24 hours with a 50kg payload, or four hours carrying 250kg.

The Republic of Korea Navy has operated the Camcopter S-100 in the ISR role for over a decade and Hanwha Systems signed a contract with Schiebel in 2024 for the S-300 to be deployed by the Navy and Marine Corps from 2028 in an ISTAR role. The unity displayed at ADEX 2025 is understood to be the first pre-production unit.
